India-Pakistan News: Home Ministry strictly warns media – don’t use air raid sirens unnecessarily
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has issued an advisory to all TV and digital media channels, warning them not to use civil defense air raid siren sounds unnecessarily in their reporting, debates, or visual packages.
The ministry clearly stated that these siren sounds should be used only for public awareness campaigns. Using them in other situations can create unnecessary panic and confusion among the public, especially during the current tense situation between India and Pakistan.The Home Ministry also warned that strict action may be taken against any media channel or platform that does not follow these instructions.
