On Saturday, May 3, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss the security situation in the Union Territory following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s residence, lasted approximately 30 minutes.
This was the first meeting between the two leaders since the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, where 26 people, mostly tourists, lost their lives. During the meeting, they addressed various issues, including the aftermath of the attack and the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed the meeting through an official statement .
