New Delhi, July 14:
The President of India has appointed senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta as the new Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Ladakh, following the resignation of Brigadier (Retd.) B.D. Mishra.
In an official statement, Rashtrapati Bhavan confirmed that the resignation of BD Mishra has been accepted and the new appointment will come into effect once Kavinder Gupta takes charge.
Alongside this, the President also appointed:
Asim Kumar Ghosh as the new Governor of Haryana
Ashok Gajapati Raju, former Union Minister, as the Governor of Goa
All the newly appointed officials will assume office on dates yet to be announced.
