Unidentified Aircraft Crashes in Kashmir Village, No Injuries Reported
Wuyan, Kashmir: An unknown aircraft crashed on Wednesday in Wuyan village, about 19 kilometers from Srinagar, in Indian-administered Kashmir. The incident caused panic among locals after a loud explosion was heard.
A Local resident, Abdul Rashid, told Bharat Speaks that they first heard the sound of a plane and then a loud blast. “We rushed outside and saw flames. Thankfully, no one was hurt,” he said.
According to a fire department officer in Srinagar, the aircraft crashed on a school building. Firefighters quickly reached the site, and investigations are still ongoing.
Photos from the scene showed parts of the aircraft lying near a red brick building. So far, it’s not known which country the aircraft belonged to.
The crash happened around the same time India reported conducting airstrikes across the border in Pakistan, but no official link has been confirmed yet.
