Police and BSF Conduct Major Search Operation in Jammu

In a proactive effort to enhance security measures ahead of Independence Day, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), carried out a comprehensive cordon-and-search operation near the International Border in Jammu on Sunday. The operation aimed to bolster security in light of anticipated celebrations and potential threats.

The joint operation specifically targeted the Aik Nallah, Kool Kalan, and adjoining areas under the jurisdiction of Arnia Police Station. Authorities initiated the operation around 6 PM and persisted for nearly two hours, asserting their commitment to maintaining security and vigilance.

During the search operation, security personnel meticulously inspected approximately 15 houses and ‘kullas’ (shacks) within the locality. The police spokesman emphasized that these exercises are part of ongoing and routine security protocols deployed in the region, particularly in the lead-up to the national festivities.

“This operation reflects our dedication to ensuring safety and preventing any potential disturbances in the area,” a senior police officer reiterated. Security officials confirmed that the situation remained stable throughout the operation, with no incidents reported, underscoring the effectiveness of their measures.

As Independence Day approaches, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir ramp up surveillance and area domination efforts to counteract any threats that could disrupt peace during this significant time for the nation. The current operation represents just one facet of the heightened security landscape in the region, showcasing the collaboration between local police and central paramilitary forces.
