Srinagar, September 20, 2026: Team Red Foundation convened a significant organisational meeting today, focusing on revitalising internal functions and clarifying leadership responsibilities. The restructuring aims to improve team coordination and service delivery across its projects, reaffirming its commitment to social causes in Kashmir.
The meeting underscored Team Red’s resolve to fortify its operational integrity through a revised organisational framework. With a clear delineation of executive duties and district operations, the foundation aims to enhance its effectiveness in local communities.
Chairman Saadat Nasir Wani emphasised the restructuring’s role in fostering ownership among volunteers and new members. “This restructuring is not merely about designations. It is about giving our members responsibility, ownership and an opportunity to grow. Every position comes with a responsibility towards Team Red NGO and, more importantly, towards the people and causes we work for,” he stated.
The restructured leadership includes:
- Chairman: Saadat Nasir Wani
- General Secretary: Sarmad Nasir Wani
- Additional General Secretaries: Dr. Ashiq Rashid, Mufti Mohammad Aamir
- Advisor to Chairman: Abrar Ul Mehraj
Team Red also formed specialised executive wings to focus on key areas:
- Sports: Maqsood Rather (Head), Ajaz Hassan (Dy Head)
- Health Concerns: Dr. Ashiq Rashid (Head), Ishfaq Mughal (Dy Head)
- Donations & Relief: Saniya Bilal (Head)
- Women’s Wing: Feema Farooq (Head)
Further, the organisation has established various internal functions, including Administration and HR headed by Zahid Moon, Event Management overseen by Mushi, and Financial Management led by Ubaid Syeed. This revised structure aims to create an efficient and responsive organisation.
To strengthen its grassroots operations, Team Red introduced a zonal structure that enhances its field presence across Kashmir. Coordinators for North, Central, and South Kashmir have been assigned, with district coordinators in places like Kupwara, Baramulla, and Srinagar, ensuring a robust on-ground presence.
The new zonal coordinators include:
- North Kashmir: Isra Wani
- Central Kashmir: Numair Shabir
- South Kashmir: Shah Fowket
District coordinators have been appointed in multiple areas, enhancing local oversight and operational efficiency. For instance, Ejaz Ahmad leads in Srinagar, ensuring that community needs are promptly addressed.
“Our revamped structure aims to improve coordination, accountability, member participation, and execution of social initiatives,” the foundation stated. This approach will allow Team Red to respond more effectively to local challenges and community needs.
The leadership remains hopeful that this restructured approach will invigorate Team Red’s efforts across its operational spectrum. They called upon each member to embrace their responsibilities with dedication and commitment. “Together, we serve. Together, we build.
