On Tuesday, a serious accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway resulted in injuries to five personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Local officials confirmed that the incident took place at Levdora in Qazigund, where a truck collided head-on with a mini-truck bearing CRPF markings.
The crash injured five CRPF personnel, including four officers who were on duty. In addition, the truck’s driver and conductor also sustained injuries in the collision.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene to provide aid. The injured individuals were transported to a hospital for treatment, where their conditions are currently reported to be stable.
The accident underscores ongoing concerns related to road safety along this crucial route, particularly given the heavy traffic often encountered on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
