Jammu Welcomes New BestSound Center to Enhance Hearing Care

In a significant development for healthcare accessibility, Jammu witnessed the grand opening of the BestSound Center 3.0 on October 16, 2026. Jointly launched by Hearing Help Pvt Ltd and WS Audiology (WSA), this center aims to offer personalized hearing care to residents, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.

Notably, the event included a generous donation of 150 hearing aids to 75 low-income residents from Jammu, courtesy of collaboration with Suryoday Foundation. This initiative underscores WSA’s commitment to widen the reach of quality hearing care in rural and semi-urban regions of India.

The BestSound Center, located at 17-A/D, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, marks a pivotal step in bridging the widening gap between clinical knowledge and user experience in hearing healthcare. Designed with a consumer-first approach, the latest BSC 3.0 builds on WSA’s successful strategies implemented in previous centers, including one launched earlier this year in Bangalore.

The World Health Organization reported that approximately 63 million individuals in India suffer from significant hearing impairment. Globally, over 1.5 billion people face some level of hearing loss, with projections indicating that this number may swell to 700 million by 2050. Despite these alarming statistics, barriers such as stigma and limited access to information contribute to many not receiving the help they need.

“It is essential that access to hearing care isn’t dictated by geography or economic status,” said Mr. Avinash Pawar, Managing Director and CEO of WSA India. “With the launch of BSC 3.0, we bring a global standard of care right to the people of Jammu & Kashmir. This is about empowering individuals so they can strengthen connections with their families and communities.”

The center’s design promotes an open, interactive experience, eliminating the traditional clinical atmosphere. Visitors can explore various hearing solutions freely, guided by trained professionals through comprehensive diagnostic assessments and product trials. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, including digital hearing aid fitting suites, the center allows individuals to test hearing aids in real-world situations.

A standout feature of BestSound Center 3.0 is the availability of renowned hearing aid brands, Signia and Widex. Research indicates that sound preference varies significantly among individuals, necessitating a tailored approach to hearing solutions. By providing both brands, the center ensures that each visitor finds the optimal technology suitable to their specific preferences and auditory needs.

“We are delighted to introduce the BestSound Center in Jammu alongside WSA,” expressed Mr. John Zargar, Managing Director and CEO of Hearing Help Pvt Ltd. “Historically, many residents have traveled long distances to access superior hearing care or, regrettably, have gone without. Our collaboration aims to reshape community perceptions about hearing aids and improve access to expert care.”

The partnership with Suryoday Foundation also highlights a commitment to community service. The foundation helped identify 75 individuals who are unable to afford hearing treatments. Those receiving hearing aids underwent thorough assessments and fittings, ensuring they can benefit from effective hearing solutions.

“Hearing loss, if left untreated, can lead to social isolation, affecting relationships and livelihoods,” explained Mr. Pawar. “With the resources at BSC 3.0, we not only fit hearing aids but also offer ongoing support to ensure they function optimally.”

Mr. Zargar echoed this sentiment, stating, “Today’s beneficiaries exemplify the population this center aims to serve. We remain dedicated to providing continuous assistance, alongside initiatives to raise hearing health awareness across Jammu.”

By introducing these facilities, WS Audiology and Hearing Help aspire to motivate residents of Jammu & Kashmir to prioritize their hearing health, proving that the right solution can dramatically enhance quality of life.
